Beautiful Data II Workshop Identity and Publication

For the 2015 Beautiful Data II workshop, hosted by metaLAB at Harvard, I developed the graphic identity along with a full suite of print and digital materials to support the intensive, hands-on event.

Each participant received a hand-stitched, hand corner die-cut welcome pack and notebook, crafted with a kraft paper cover that embodied the workshop’s experimental and tactile spirit. These personalized pieces featured custom participant logos along with a matching nametag, while additional nametags were designed for guest presenters and metaLAB team members.

Beyond the core materials, I also designed and produced on-demand print and digital assets throughout the workshop, including signage, materials for group design-thinking activities, and a unique schedule wall for the workshop’s second week. Designed to reflect the open-ended nature of the schedule, this "failed to load" schedule-wall was accompanied by a motorized, rainbow-spinning "wheel of death", playfully referencing digital frustration in a physical form.

Following the workshop, I designed a final brochure and website, documenting participants’ projects and the collaborative energy of the event.
